Biography
A Chartered Structural Engineer with over 25 years of experience delivering complex building and infrastructure projects across the UK and the Middle East. Demonstrates strong leadership in multidisciplinary teams, successfully coordinating architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines from concept through to completion, while ensuring high-quality, integrated design solutions and effective project delivery.
Currently an Associate at BSF Consulting Engineers, leading civil and structural design teams across a broad and varied portfolio of projects, with a focus on collaboration, technical excellence, and team performance.
Extensive experience in construction disputes and litigation, specialising in structural design and forensic engineering. Regularly appointed as a structural expert witness on international disputes, leading multidisciplinary investigations into structural defects across sectors including rail stations and depots, metro systems, high-rise cladding, universities, and energy-from-waste facilities.
Key project experience includes:
- Project Director for the refurbishment of Highbury & Islington Station and West Hampstead Thameslink Station, leading multidisciplinary teams through complex stakeholder environments
- Lead Structural Engineer for Crossrail Whitechapel Station (£1bn programme), managing on-site engineering teams and coordinating interfaces between multiple disciplines and stakeholders
- Structural Design Checker for Crossrail Liverpool Street
- Lead Structural Engineer for Three Bridges and Hornsey rail depots
- Major residential and mixed-use developments, including Barking Riverside
- Rail infrastructure, education schemes, commercial refurbishments, and projects in the Middle East
- Structural lead for a number of police headquarter buildings under PFI including Gloucester Police HQ
- Major extensions to universities including Birbeck, UCL and School, of Hygiene and Tropical medicine
